Craig Minor

Craig Minor is a designer, former educator and principal of Minor Design. He received an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and has studied in Switzerland. Among his accomplishments are design programs for the Children’s Museum of Houston; the Rothko Chapel; and the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. In addition projects have been designed for ESPN, American Movie Classics and signage and wayfinding programs developed for Vinson & Elkins, Houston; The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Houston Parks Board and the Houston Parks Department. Currently he is designing a sign program for the new Asia Society Texas Center in Houston. Mr. Minor served as Area Chairman of the Graphic Communications Program at the University of Houston from 1984 to 2000. Mr. Minor’s work has been recognized by the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the American Institute of Architects, the American Center for Design and the New York Art Directors. His work has been published in numerous books and publications. In addition, publications have been designed for architect Daniel Libeskind and exhibition catalogs for numerous artists including, Robert Rauschenberg and Ansel Adams. Mr. Minor is the past president of the Texas Chapter of the AIGA, has recently been named an honorary member of AIA Houston and serves on the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas and the Rice Design Alliance.
